Fraste XL Max multipurpose drill rig

For these Central QLD Geotechnical Drilling Investigations, J&S Drilling utilised a Fraste XL Max multipurpose drill rig. The Fraste is a highly adaptable drill rig for rapid changing conditions and variations at our client request. Firstly, the Fraste Drill rig has capabilities for Diamond Coring, Rotary Air, Rotary Mud, Casing Advance, Auger and Direct Push. Secondly, all drilling methods are a fast and efficient change over to minimise down time and maximise production.

The Fraste drill rig is capable of conducting a variety of sampling methods which include:

• Auto SPT sampling,
• U50/U63/U75/ U100 push tubes,
• Piston sampling,
• Wireline packer testing,
• Vane shear testing,
• Continuous push tube sampling, and
• Auger coring.

In other words, cutting all power to the drill rig when the rod cage is open. In addition, these proximity devices eliminate the potential to damage critical components on the drill rig.
