Congratulations and thank you to Brian Bawdon for 30 years of continuous service to J&S Drilling.
Brian started his journey at J&S Drilling on 08th January 1994. He is a jack of all trades, from Driller Assistant, Heavy Diesel Mechanic, licenced Class 2 Driller, Operations Manager and General Manager for the past 5 years. He is highly respected and an integral part of the J&S family, he has been ‘Setting the Standard’ for longer than the rest of us.
We guess having his name on the 10 and 20 year service recongition plaques wasnt enough to make him happy…
How does one celebrate such an acheivement in the modern era, you throw him a party …………….. at a time he can pry himself away from work long enough to be there. It took nearly 3 months for him to fit us into his ‘busy’ schedule, but we enjoyed embarrassing him by making him do a speech.
Only after John, the owner, gave a great speech of Brians exploits and how he was going to resign, before meeting his lovely wife, Jo-anne. Lucky for us he stayed put in order to pursue her. As you would say, the rest is now part of all our history.
We are glad John & Sheryl worked around Brians love interest to keep him onboard. Brian has 2 x loves in his life. below photo is his first love – his family. Then there is J&S Drilling, which is a full time job keeping the family together. Thanks Brian for your leadership, guidance and loyalty. We all appreciate your sacrifice and efforts that make it enjoyable and rewarding to come to work.
