As part of J&S Drilling’s operations we are often called upon to drill and install various scientific instruments for the monitoring of soil movement and water movement.
Instruments like Vibration Wire Piezometers (VWPs) and Inclinometers are often installed in Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs) to monitor potential seepage and wall movement.
Over the years we have installed hundreds of these instruments throughout West Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland on some of the largest TSFs in use.
We continue to complete these works for Mine Production facilities, Waste Water storage facilities and major infrastructure projects.
We are able to test the competence of the VWP instrument prior to installation, during and after installation and at completion of wiring up to the data logger.
