J&S Drilling delivered another Goldfield Production Bores drilling and testing program.

Production Bores details

A Class 2 licensed driller and 2 x offsiders undertook to drill, construct, develop and test 8 x 150mm Goldfield Production Bores. Delivering the desired outcomes in line with the client specification.

The drill rig utilised for the project was a Fraste FS 300 with onboard drill rod storage and automated rod handling functionality. A compressor and support equipment made up the mine compliant drilling suite.

Bores drilled using conventional hammer methodologies. 250mm steel surface casings installed allowing for surface stabilization whilst drilling the target stratigraphy.

A licensed driller undertook the drilling and constructions in line with the minimum standard requirements. 150mm PVC casing installed with an inline gravel packed construction.  The bores then developed using air surging. In addition, we performed Pump testing, similarly collating step tests and a constant rate test at selected locations.

Performance

Above all, we achieved the project KPI’s without any Safety related incident recorded. similarly, we completed the program ahead of schedule, in other words under budget. Therefore, the client is very happy with the performance and indicated J&S is invited to deliver the future stage 2 drilling.

Therefore as a result, another impressive performance by the crews!
