Geoprobe at Groote Eylandt – J&S Drilling has been back at Groote Eylandt over the past few months undertaking Geoprobe sampling on the tailing’s dams.
Specialist low ground pressure ARGO vehicles were supplied by J&S Drilling in compliance with mine requirements and used to work over the unconsolidated tailings surface.
It is always pretty warm in the Northern Territory with the last few weeks being no exception, extreme heat and the humidity also soaring added another layer to the project delivery. The crew showed excellent management of heat stress and hydration.
Sampling was completed on 111 sites for a total of 940 metres and all completed in 46 days – well done guys.
Works were completed in line with KPI expectations and ahead of the wet season.
